This course meets for 12 consecutive Tuesday evenings, starting Sept. 13th and concluding Nov. 20th.

Certified Quality Engineer, Prep./ Refresher, CP-200

This course provides a thorough overview of the quantitative methods likely to be present on the Certified Quality Engineer exam.  It covers the ASQ body of knowledge and prepares individuals to take the examination given by ASQ and pass it.

Taking this course does not require you to sit for the next exam or any exams.  This course can be used to learn the fundamental elements that a Quality Engineer should know and be prepared to implement.

          Class discussions include an in-depth overview of the exam process along with the rationales for correct answers.  Sample test questions and answers offer participants a better understanding of the basic principles and applications that will appear on the exam.  This is achieved through lecture, individual participation, group problem discussion, case studies, role playing, and quizzes to test understanding.

         The CQE Primer from the Quality Council of Indiana will be given to each participant, as well as a course binder that will be used as the principle class guide.

See the requirements stated for the ASQ CQE Examination at www.asq.org. as these provide the background subject knowledge that will useful in taking this course.

Instructor's Bio

Al’s quality experience includes lecturing and teaching quality management, auditing and statistics at ASQ seminars, Penn State University, ASQ courses, and courses at Philadelphia Naval Shipyard. 

 

He is a graduate of Villanova University with a BS in Electrical Engineering and is an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer and Certified Quality Auditor.  He has over 35 years of industrial experience as a Quality Engineering Manager at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard and at General Electric’s Switchgear Division in the area of quality assurance and productivity improvement. 

 

He is the principal of ATA Consulting and specializes in auditing, productivity and quality improvement, and training in statistics and auditing.  He has conducted in-plant training courses in quality auditing and statistical methods.
